Curriculum

Orchard seeks to provide and promote education at its best. The curriculum here is a plethora of learning experiences mingled with fun-filled activities and serious discoveries. It focuses on six aspects of learning that provide a comprehensive framework for a child’s development at each level.

Orchard follows CBSE Directives as articulated in NEP 2020 in compliance with National Curriculum Framework to prepare the student community to meet the challenging demands of the 21st Century. We strive for excellence with an objective to realize quality education, impacting the lives of our children towards a better future.

Foundational Years (Nursery to Grade 2)

We provide a creative, stimulating, and caring atmosphere for our kids’ academic and personal growth during Foundational Years. Students are encouraged to discover,experiment, and enjoy the inherent joy
of learning. The curriculum is designed by the teachers to help students enhance their ability to observe, explore, think, question, and make choices. It will be flexible, multi-faceted, and play-inquiry-activity
based.

Preparatory Years (Grade 3 to 5)

Student-centered blended learning ensures a joyful and meaningful learning environment. Play, Discovery Activity-based interactive Classroom learning will be ensured.

Middle Years (Grade 6 to 8)

Experiential Learning with a skill-based curriculum will enhance the acquisition of knowledge and understanding to apply with ease in real-time experiences.

Secondary Years (Grade 9 to 12)

Multidisciplinary Learning will pave way for explicit choices to match inherent interest and skill with ample scope for critical thinking and flexibility. It leaves no stone unturned to ensure that all children are
future ready to acquire any course in higher education in their chosen discipline.

Mode of assessments

Learning is assessed throughout the year and is completely based on CBSE board guidelines. The student’s work will be evaluated on a continuous basis.

We believe that observation, as well as documentation of the observation, is the most important method of gaining assessment information about a child.

There are two Boosters during the academic year. The school administers fun-loving assessments that include orals, activities, projects, and worksheets.

According to CBSE, the school follows a system that ensures the students’ intellectual, emotional, physical, cultural, and social development rather than just academics. Art integration, Interdisciplinary
